I'm looking for a new edc folding knife. My price range is $50-$120. It needs to be assisted, have a blade under 3 3/4in. long, and of course be of good quality or better. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

just giving you some choices or you can go the spyderco way as the Mannix 2

The Kershaw Blur would fit your needs. They come in S30V or 14c28, but you might be able to find one of the various sprint runs still.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm looking for this knife for my dad and he already has the blur (not in s30v though) and funny thing is i just bought myself a zt0350 (love it). I'm gonna look into the others but keep em coming please!!

Oh. I forgot to mention that I'd prefer a liner lock, frame lock, or something like Benchmade's axis lock or SOG's ark lock; but exceptions can be made.

and Dorito Monk is right.... it needs to be assisted or a wickedly fast non assisted knife.

What about the Kershaw ZT400? It looks similar to the blur actually. What's the good/bad on that?

Benchmade Barrage or mini- Barrage would seem to fit the bill well - I have both, and they are excellent knives.

+1 on the ZT 0350

Other possibilities:
Benchmade Barrage/Mini Barrage
Benchmade Torrent (I've heard some complaints about the reliability of its liner lock, though)
Kershaw Leek (available in S30V or composite blade with D2 cutting edge if you want an upgrade from the standard 14C28N blade)
Kershaw Shallot
Kershaw Rake and TG1 (a couple of Tim Galyean designs that aren't out yet but look very nice)

Thanks for the replies!!! I'll look into some of those. If you have any others then post em :D

I really like my SOG Trident Tanto. You should try one.

How long have you had it? How does it perform? How's the lock-up after use? The reason I ask is because I see so many people bashing on SOG's knives I don't really know what to think about them......

I had a SOG Aegis for a few months, then I gave it away. The arc lock and assisted opening worked, but the knife had a ton of play in it. Very sloppy lockup. The AUS8 also did not seem to hold an edge. It did sharpen easily, though.

I really liked the zytel handle and blade shape on that knife, though.

Ya, that's what I've heard on all SOG knives. Just don't seem to be a to par with other knife companies..... I like their m-tools though.
