Im in the market for my first spyderco and im leaning towards a military as an edc. Im fine with carrying a big knife and love the look of the military. Im having trouble finding a place to order the brown and green handled militarys though. Can someone point me in the right direction? My first choice would be the brown g10 handle with plain satin blade. I see the digi camo and black g 10 are pretty easy to get ahold of.

Thanks in advance, im excited to get my first spyderco!

The brown g10 versions is a limited edition, "sprint run". They usually sell out pretty quick. Your best chance for finding one is on the "secondary market", check the exchange subforum here, or start a thread in the wanted to buy knives section.

Bentoboxshop shows a brown Millie for sale (( not a paid BF dealer )) or Ebay for the brown handled model. As far as the green handled model, are you talking about the D2 bladesteel from a few years back? If so, the same places mentioned. It's highly unlikely you'll find one online.

Get a nice used one off the Exchange (purchase a $20 membership...it's well worth it to be GOLD and have access and support the site too). I love the Military.. it's an excellent EDC and will spoil you for other blades to come. It took me a while to get my first as I was thrown off by the long handle to blade ratio.. but after getting one, I have a hard time keeping any other folders as the ergos, weight, feel, and materials are amazing for the price. Most go new for around $130, but a few just went in the Exchange for around $95-$110. Deals to be had for sure. Great choice. Get the Para 2 next. I swap EDC'ing them daily. The standard S30V blades are great... I've not added any of the newer super steel versions just for the fact that mine are users and haven't found a need for a better steel to date. YMMV

Mine will be a user for sure. So they all come with s30v blades? Thats pretty sweet. I think itll take some getting used to a thumb hole rather than a thumbstud. Im a bm guy but recently started carrying in my back pocket. Thumbstuds can get dangerous when they catch on your jeans and your clip is mounted tip up. I pulled it out quick the other day and my rift cut my finger befor it was even out of my pocket.

You may find you like the hole better. I've gotten so used to the functionality and mechanics of the spydie hole that it has been the only thing that has prevented me from purchasing a CRK umnazaan and other various folders.

Just picked one up with the camo handle on (( not a paid BF Dealer )) for $102!
