I know this is a little off-topic, but couldn't think of anywhere else to look. I did a few searches but didn't find much. I am hoping there might be someone here who might be able to help me out. I am going to buy some woodworking/carpentry tools to do some remodeling on a house (and the big shop that came with it) my wife and I just bought (our first, woooohoooooo! Feels great to be in debt for the rest of our lives!!!) and am looking for a forum that I can ask questions about brands and types of tools, and maybe techniques, too. I am trying to find a site like Bladeforums where I can ask my questions like I ask knifemaking questions here. I need access to some more experienced tool shoppers/users and carpenters to help me decide on some tools before I buy a tool that isn't going to work for me, and it is too late.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks for letting me take up space here with my unrelated question.

I don't believe that there is a forum at this site, but they have a lot of good info nonetheless.

They are the publishers of both "Fine Woodworking" and "Fine Homebuilding" magazines. They also have several books available that cover the same topics.

Take care.

Andy

Thanks Andy Wilson and shappa, those are some good suggestions. I didn't even think for looking into Fine Woodworking and Homebuilding; I sure love the mags.
