Somewhere out there in the vastness of cyberspace last year I ran across an online review of the Benchmade 806D2 as a "survival folder", I forgot to bookmark it and have drove myself crazt for 3 days trying to find it with search engines.

Anyone have a link to that article?

I can't remeber who wrote it, but he was somekind of outdoorsman "guru".

His name was Chris Janowsky (http://www.wildernesssurvival.com/aboutus.htm) and in that review he decided that an AFCK and a Steel Heart II were the best folder and fixed, respectively. The original article appeared in the (now defunct?) "American Survival Guide" mag.

I think I've read that article, but I couldn't tell you where.

Good luck finding the article... I've done some searching around and can't seem to track it down. Might not exist in e-format.

Thanks but the one I am trying to find wasn't a re-print of a ASG article, it was done for an online review.

I'm still hunting....:grumpy:

EDITED: I'll be danged I foung it, it was a review by Greg Davenport, very short though, but I remember the website.
