Purchased a used home made scale that has orange g10 for about 1mm then lightning strike carbon fiber. I want to make a few scales like this please help me find some scale material! Thanks!! (Ps I don't want the carbon fiber and orange multiple layers, Just one layer of g10 then the rest all carbon fiber like the pic

You will have to get a layer of g10 that you want and glue it to the back of the carbon fiber. Then make your scales

Aaahhh gotcha. Thanks! Can you dremel carbon fiber like you can g10? Heard you're supposed to hand form/sand to keep the heat low??

You can but be ready to make some drill bits dull and go thru a lot of dremel stuff. It's a lot harder on tools than g10 is.

You should wear a respirator with G10 too. It seems that it is listed as a "suspected" carcinogen.

Which means it probably is. The chemicals in the resin I suspect.

I wonder if exposure to the skin can also lead to it....more than likely

Quick question. Does your lightning strike Carbon fiber scale have like pocks and dimples in it?

I work with it and I have tried multiple dealers of it and I have never found it made without having those pocks and dimples in it. Kinda bothers me....a lot...I'm a perfectionist

Yeah it does have one or two pockets.this shows one pocket by the body screw hole closet to pivot and also a bigger one in between the pivot and that hole towards the top

USA Knife Maker Supply has LSCF in 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, & 3/8 thicknesses. Looks like the only thickness not in stock at this moment is the 3/16.

I believe that Knife Kits has LSCF sheets in 1/8.
