Need Help Finding This Movie!

Ok guys im countin on ya...
I watched a movie on HBO maybe 5 years ago and the only scenes i remember which were very close together were as follows: In the opening scene there was a group of young guys that were very close friends and i believe one of the guys nicknames was bats or something cause he liked beating people with a bat. And then after it shows a scene of them beating the crap out of someone i believe it transitions to them being older and there's this hilarious scene where one of the guys takes a water balloon and drops it on a woman in a bikini sun bathing to get her to turn over. Please help me find this movie it has bugged me for the past few years because i cant remember the name of it.
 
The Crew. Starring Richard Dryfus, Burt Reynolds and a couple of others whose names escape me although I can see their faces as old wise guys in Florida. Carrie Ann Moss plays Dreyfus' daughter who happens to be a police detective if I remember right.
