Need help finding thread.... Talonite

I need help finding two threads:

One was called "How tough is talonite?" started on 3/27/99 and

"Talonite Opinions - worth the bucks? started 5/6/99

storyville and I have searched quite a bit and cannot seem to find these....

Hey, ever the historian David?

How on earth do you do that? Search didn't turn up either threads with talonite either in the subject or the the entire message for the Year-1 forum where you found them.

Good job. If I'm ever in the market for a research person, I'll know where to look!
 
Any tricks you would like to share about how to do searches for stuff?

I searched like five different ways and could not find those threads.

Guys,

We have links to spec sheets on darned near every material usable in knives, but perhaps it would be a good idea to compile links to all the Talonite discussions given the keen interest in the stuff. Certainly the 2 links above are a great start but there are several others with additional great information, experiences, and opinions. Stuff like this out to end up as a special in the FAQs area.
