I recently purchased a para 3 LW (light weight) which won't arrive for another week. I've HAD and HAVE a ton of spydercos but I've never had anything from the LW series. I'm not big on lw knives I bought it more so for the blade. I want to swap out the scales for some aluminum od greens and replace the wire clip. From what I can tell the only difference between the standard P3 and the LW P3 is the clip, 1 less liner, and the scales so my question is.... would a set of clip side liner delete standard P3 scales work for a P3 LW since there is only one liner in a P3 LW to begin with!?!? The difference in price is pretty substantial about $30-40 bucks MORE for the P3 "LW" scales for whatever reason. If anybody knows if the standard P3 clip-side liner delete scales would work for a P3 LW I would greatly appreciate the information. -Thanks!!!

If I recall correctly the lock side liner on the Lightweight Para 3 is different than the G10 version.
Correct!! The lw are about 20 more plus I'll probably have them topo'd. The photo I linked Above ↑↑↑ are orange AWT p3 LW scales ↑↑ I think they make one of the best if not THE best aftermarket scales available. They DEFINITELY aren't cheap but I've purchased a lot of mine via the "boneyard" page (allegedly factory blemished) for up to 50% off. You gotta get lucky to get the color you want but I have yet to find a single blemish on all of my allegedly "blemished" scales. I can't recommend that route enough. These are a few AWTs in my collection and I guarantee you won't be able to pick out the blemished ones.
