Been thinking about picking up this knife for awhile now but there are virutally no posts about it when I ran a search. Just looking for some opionions and also I was curious if it might be easy to rub off Segal's name from the blade. While I love the knife shape and looks, packing around a knife that's autographed by Segal is like showing off a Larry Storch autographed boot knife, or a signed Eric Estrada S&W model 66. :barf:

I dont like the name on the knife ,,, so I wont even buy one. I bet alot of people feel the same way ! It looks like a nice knife , but you must be paying alot for the name on it . Dont let your friends see you with it

I took a look at one of these at my favorite knife store just recently. I didn't ask to see it, but the owner (who knows a lot about knives, and whose opinion I trust) wanted to show it to me. He said it is a real sleeper that you don't hear much about, but that he really liked it. He thought the concept was corny (a knife designed by an actor) but he actually liked the knife.

I wound up agreeing with him. I thought it was pretty nice. It is built from good materials and seems to be pretty tough. The rayskin inserts on the handle are a nice touch. The blade is mirror polished. I really expected it to have speedsafe, and was both surprized and disappointed when it didn't. It fit my hand well in a variety of different grips.

Hope this info helps!

I just ordered one today as I got it at a very good price (79.00) and have been wanting it. When I get it I will post a review.

Excuse me, I thought the knife was designed by Steven Segal,
not an actor :D

j-man why do you post about things you
know nothing about. The count means nothing.

The knife is nice. I am thinking about grinding
off the name, but it is nice.

The funny thing is that it's a very well made knife. I checked one out today and i was very impressed with the fit and finish on it. The ray skin insert really has a good feel to it.

I will go with J-man_the_jet s answer :) Sorry cutty I think he knows a little more then you !

cutty, I don't know what the hell your problem is. But I guess you feel inferior because all you can do is make a failed attempt at a insult towards me when I try to contribute, which you never do.

j-man read the post, it says owners. I have one
do you? It is a good knife, I just do not like
all the writting.Talk about what you know about.
Not what you think you know about.

Dude, take a deep breath and calm down. J-man was simply clarifying that the knife was designed by Ken Onion and not Steven Segal. You don't have to own the knife to know this, just a little research will do the trick...
