I’ve gone back to using a Blackberry (from Treo-650) which means I also have to use Outlook 2003. For my “Contacts” entries, I would like to have a field where I can enter the PIN number of other Blackberry users. I can add this as a “User Defined” field and it will appear in, say, “Current View, By Category”. However, it does not appear as a “Field” in either of the “Cards” views when I double-click to open an individual entry. Does Outlook 2003 not allow this, or am I missing something when I add/configure the additional “Field”?

Assign the pin # to one of the four rows of numbers they default you: Business, Home Fax, Mobile. Under each of them is 19 other fields. I added a few to them and it shows up in my Detailed Address Card, as many as I assigned.

Under just Address Cards, you may only get three numbers to show. Steal one of the fields if you need.

Try that.

I couldn't resist. ;)

That won't work for me - I have some address cards where the client has two business phones, a fax, a mobile and two home phones - and I need to add his PIN!. What I really want is to expand the number of default fields: Business, Home, Fax, Mobile. I know I can assign any one of the 19 names to any of those four fields - but what I want is more than four fields! (I can do this in Approach, my relational database for knives, I can't understand why Outlook would be so restrictive.) Guess I'll just have to stick with creating a PIN "User defined field" for each separate entry. :(
