I am principally a fixed blade guy; but, I decided to branch out and buy a Schrade LB7 folder. Its eBay item #280079005194. I paid $18.99 including shipping. Four pin LB7 with sheath, Serial #M35777. Seller purports to be original owner, having bought the knife new approximately 25 years ago. Says knife has been only lightly used; never sharpened. Very light rust on blade. Here are the pics:

First, did I come out okay price wise on this knife? (be honest, brutal if necessary) Second, does the seller's averation that he bought the knife 25 years ago jive with a serial number of M35777?

I currenty buy LB7's locally NIB, tan box, for $27 including tax. I doubt the four pin with Schrade+ blade has rust, but I do see verdigris on the brass, and something on the blade, maybe dried oil. Or murder evidence. 2007 minus twentyfive years is circa 1982. Plausable, IMHO. Realize that the knife may have sat on a dealer's stockroom shelf for years. My current purchase LB7's have. They are definately pre-2001. So the knife could be older than his purchase date guestimation.

....that grind looks a little bit sus to me mate you better whack her under that periscope of yours when you receive it!!!...I can confirm however it is a 4 pin and older than the 3 pins and having a serial No at all is a good start.
I have a mint 4 pin with serial No F9729 and the seller was a small time country hardware store owner who was closing down and mine sat in the Schrade case on his counter from 1980 he states, even sent me photos of it still in the case. Half open for some 23 years < I got it in 2003> The walk and talk is still straight from factory so it doesnt weaken in my opinion.P.S. Your grind looks O.K. really.......Hoo Roo
