Hi guys and Knive experts...

i have a kershaw echelon that i've made to be manual with the removal of the assited opening mechanism..

i really like the knife and its can be opened smoothly without the thumbstud... since i dont like the redundant of the thumstud, i would like to remove it..

i dont know how to do it or if it is even possible to do... is the thumbstud press fit?

so please help me with some info or knowledge to do it...

any info is appreciated... thanks and have great day guys...

I do believe they're press fitted.
Removing them would require some tools, scratching the blade possibly, and having to face a hole in the blade...

yea, i suspect thats the case...

i havent done anything since i dont want to damage it if i dont know how was the thumbstud attached for the echelon...

thanks halo v

You could drill through the thumb stud if you're not worried about ever putting it back on.

no i'm not worry about putting it back on... it would be permanent removal like the speedsave mechanism... but i dont have the tools for drilling...

thx bp... a

any other inputs is welcome,,

thanks alot guys...
