Hi can anyone tell me about this Victorinox Swiss Army knife? I bought it in Canada about 20 years ago. It appears to be a Victorinox Soldier model with Alox (aluminum) handles, but the cross on the handle doesn't look like any other Victorinox emblem.

The blade is stamped "VICTORINOX SWITZERLAND STAINLESS ROSTFREI" just like my plastic handled one. It also has a brass divider sandwiched between the two sides of the blades, & the brass divider use to form a lanyard ring on the end opposite of where the blade comes out, but I cut it off because it was kind of sharp & I didn't use it.

Does anyone have one like it or any info? Thanks,

If it has a lanyard ring, then I think that's an older Pioneer model.

A Pioneer is the same as a Solider, just with the lanyard/key ring.

Definitely an old Pioneer, if you cut the ring off. Soldiers don't come in red alox. Good find, too; the older cross looks better than the current shield.

I picked up a NIB Pioneer just like that at the local gun show the other weekend. It didn't have a keyring either. I'd never seen one like that!
