I received this bali many years ago as a gift from a military friend from Europe. I kept it in a survival pack and just rediscovered it. I've never seen another like it and come to think of I didn't know that any bali's were made in Finland. It has a stainless blade and pins with a very tough rubberized or nylon handle. It is easy to sharpen and takes a very fine edge and holds it well. I think he told me it was a laminated blade. I took 4 pictures in hope that someone could help.

I'd love to see the knive, but the link to said page requires a username and password. Please post the pics in the forum so we can all see them.

Peace!

I cant see your pic's but let me guess a red plastic handles that has Hackmann, Finland on it sharpens easy and keeps a scary sharp edge. What you have is a Hackmann finnish camp knife they where once an issue item to the CIA in vietnam but when the ban on importing bali's was passed they where banned too. It's a good knife not a collectable I got mine for 5 bux at a local flea market best money I ever spent...........

Thanks for the comeback CYBLADE. The blade you described sound like what I have. I'm trying dotphoto for my picture hosting and am having trouble letting people look at the pics from my link. I tried something different so would you try the link again and let me know if you can veiw the pic. Anyone that the link work for please let me know.
Thanks

Nope, still prompting for member login... :(

If you want, you can try email the pic(s) to me (ixpfah@tiscali.no), and I can try to get if/them up for you. :)

I use to have a couple of these. At one time they were not too dificult to obtain but of course that is no longer the case. I love the edge on these but they're not great flippers which is maybe why they aren't more pricey with collectors? I remember seeing one in black once.
