Hello and welcome. :) I don't know anything about Frost Cutlery knives, but here's your photo embedded so that other folks can see it and help you with info about your knife.

You need to use the version of the image url that ends in jpg or other image file type and put that in between img tags. :)

I've seen / owned enough frost cutery knives but don't recognize this one, you gotta have the box to know what it's called as they don't use model numbers or anything.

There are those who know a little bit about the late 70's and 80's frost cutlery knives but this thing as only about 10 years old , so I don't know if you'll get an answer very quickly.
I had one with a very similar handle but I've never seen this blade.
I think the knives that had this type of laminate wood were a particular line or series, but I don't remember for sure.

Yeah I wasn't sure how to get the image up but thank you.
And thanks hickory n steel. I appreciate the reply. I didn't recieve anything else with the knife and my Grandfather isn't alive to ask about it. Thank you anyway.

Maybe you could contact frost cutlery ( go to the CCN website and see if theres a way to contact them )
And you could probably email them a picture.

Now I'm not sure if you know this, but their knives are very " cheap ".
Personally I'd probably just remember it as belonging to your grandfather and leave it at that.
It can be identified though if it you really want to.

Welcome to BF M Mike30 , from the style of the knife, your grandpa had to have been a joy to be around.
The fact that it belonged to your grandpa makes it priceless and to have something handed down is an honor that some people don't experience. May it always bring a smile to your face every time you pick it up.

Frost Cutlery has had many knife models produced (small edit). As you probably know, Frost doesn't actually make knives in a factory here. They are all made in foreign countries and imported to the US.

The early Frosts were made in Japan. I believe this one is made in China. I haven't looked at their stuff in a good while, but I recall a lot of handles similar to that about 10 years ago. I would watch fleabay for Frost knives and eventually one will be offered for sale that is similar.

In The late 70's through the late 80's were made in japan and the early ones are known to be decent.

This knife is made in china, but it belonged to his grandfather it probably doesn't matter where it was made.

Yeah I understand the knife wasn't expensive however, i just wanted to figure out what kind of blade it was since I haven't come across any blade like this. Yes it was made in China. I'll leave it at that though. Not worth the investigation I already have done on this knife. I appreciate all the responses. I will cherish the knife and always keep it in my collection. Grandfather was definitely a trip. Thanks all.
