I'm brand new here and couldn't find a specific section for identifying issues, please let me know if I should post this somewhere else.

I received a blade from a friend. We both have a bunch of questions about it that we are delving into ourselves, but I'm having the hardest time identifying the stamp or engraving on this knife.

Any leads would be very much appreciated!
Even someone with good eyesight to at least make out the spelling. There's a Stallion in front and a Kopis under it, but my searches and inquiries have rendered me nothing.

And I have no idea how to add and image...🤦

Looks like "V. Mortensen" to me.

I wonder if they are trying to play off Viggo Mortensen of Aragorn/LOTR fame on a fantasy knife?

It’s a benthic blade made, according to the info from the below link, by Viggo Mortensen.
The knife carries the same mark. I have no idea if this is a real knife maker or the actual actor.
‘It look Pakistani made to me too but I could be mistaking.

Pakistani.......Go on ebay and read the description on virtually any listing for a Pakistan made knife. It will read almost word for word the same as that Worthpoint description......the days and days of hard work that go into making the blade, the hours and hours of forging to perfect it, etc etc.....

Probably… Honestly, I’m more interested of the double blade thing of this particular knife even it is kind off funny, than of the knife itself..
I can’t stand dark Damascus, and I’m sure you’re correct about the origins of those knives…
