Can anyone help me identify this knife and its maker? It belongs to a friend and he says there are no markings on it anywhere except for the Navy crest on the sheath. Any ideas as to what the original handle material was? Thank you for your assistance.
I can't even guess at the manufacturer, but the handle material most likely was stacked leather as is found on some Ka-Bar models, the Ontario pilot survival knife, etc.
Almost looks like Johnny weismueller's knife from tarzan. I bet it is a locally made blade, maybe not a name brand, with a leather handle. Maybe a theater made knife. Just my opinion.
