This knife has been in my family longer than I have been alive, but I know nothing about it. I am fairly certain that it belonged to my grandfather before it became my fathers and then mine. Any info would be great. I know it has not been sharpened in over 30 years, yet is still very sharp. There are no markings on it at all. I am failry certain the grip is made of brass and leather.
It has been mentioned in another thread that I posted about this knife that it looks like it was ground at some point. However the back edge has what look to be factory machining marks on it. I am not sure though. Also, If it helps, he was a Marine in WWII stationed in the South Pacific. He brought back a Japanese rifle and an officers katana both of which I still have.
Thanks again in advance for any info!
