I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before -- maybe I can't figure out the right search terms. I have a Gerber, pictured below, that has become very stiff to open. I figure dismantling it and oiling it will do the trick.

The screws all around the body are Torx 6, but it looks like I have to remove the blade hinge as well. I can't figure out what kind of bit fits into the hinge.

I know it is an inexpensive knife, but I'd rather fix it if I can.

Any ideas?

Oh nice,
I had a bunch of those back in the day.
The Gerber Air Harsey or something along those lines. I think this guy designed the T2 and those others.

The pivot screw (hinge) is a torx and should be a T6-T8-or T10 if it is big. Anyway that should help, you can find these bits anywhere. Look at at the hardware store or get them online from huskey.
Take that puppy apart and clean her up, a great design from what used to be good knives.

Wow, I'm clearly a noob. That is a Torx, it just didn't look like one to me, perhaps because it is so shallow. That worked a charm, a T8.

Thanks again.
