I have this boot style dagger I bought cheap at a yard sale or flea market probably ten years ago. It's just been sitting in my collection and I haven't really even looked at it until recently. It is rather worn. Been polished too many times and the brand name is barely legible. It says Ridge Runner and on the other side the only legible word is Pakistan. I've done a lot of searching on the net but found only one knife that looks similar, except the handle is wood instead of plastic, and it is just plain weird. See etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/818723...rs&ref=sr_gallery-2-41&organic_search_click=1 Actually the color is a little off in the photos. The sheath is brown, not black. But I had to fiddle with the exposures to get the logos to show. Some notes I made back when I bought it say Timberwolf. Not a clue? Seen a lot of knives branded Ridge Runner but nothing like this. I imagine it's just a cheap knife but I would like to know more about it if possible. I try to do this with my knives, kind of establish a provenance. Did that with one knife I have had since the 60's turned out is was rare and made in 1939. So you never know.

That pattern with a different bone handle is (or was recently) still sold by Budk as the "Elite" from Timberwolf.

Thanks to all of you. GIRLYMann, oddly enough I have a Hibben Silver Shadow. I also have a nice letter from Hibben establishing it's authenticity. I don't know why I didn't see the resemblance.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works was the first place I saw these, under their "Ole Smoky" brand, circa early 90's. Later more importers grabbed the design.
