I posted this in Bernard Levine's forum but no one there has been able to identify the maker on this bowie. Overall length 13 1/2 inches. Sheath does not fit knife so it is not original. Please ignore sheath. Bowie is just under 1/4 inch thick at guard. Nicely done fluted horn handle. I bought this because the false edge reminded me of the work of deceased Colorado maker Chuck Roberts. I am thinking this may be one of his knives. Would appreciate if anyone can help me figure out the maker. Seems to be a very high quality knife. Thanks, John

Doubt this will be of much help, but I have seen a number of Chuck's knives and the choil and false edge is a bit different. Most of his false edge clips start off with a flat back.

I have a big bowie he made a while back and won BOS somewhere with, the workmanship is very different.

Might be Todd Kopp's early work.
Google his website for contact info
He is a friend and has been doing fluted handles for a number of years...
His work now is quite pricey

Thank you for the suggestion. Just with Todd Kopp and unfortuneately not his work. On the other hand, Robert just want to say that I really like your knives and have owned three of them. Currently still have one in my possession which is a Brend like fighter. I had one of your sterile O-ring fighters with an ironwood handle. Wish I never sold that one.

Howdy,
Talk about a small world ! I just found you guys & joined, so was tooling around the site and found your question. I'd swear this is the knife I sweated over for a couple of weeks on ebay. When I finally decided to buy it, it was gone ! If it is in fact the same knife, go back and check out the seller's store on ebay. The other bowie they have for sale is by Gary Geisler, and the blades are close to identical. Same grind lines, angles, finish etc. I tried to paste the link to the ebay page in here, but this is my first action here so have no idea if it will open for you. If not, pasting in Gary Geisler in the search window on ebay should work. Thought this might help
