Need help identifying Mystery Knife?

Hey, found this beautiful little piece of equipment at a yard sale today for cheap (haven’t had time to clean it up yet) and was wondering if one of you knowledgeable people could tell me about it? It has no makers mark on it, japanese carbon steel blade, the pins and grip look handmade to me.
Just an indication of how old it is would be excellent and any other info you could provide would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

They were usually priced between $2.95 - 4.95 depending on time of year and importer.

much older than I would’ve thought, so cool that they’re still kicking around After almost 65 years.
