Stamped “F.W. Hoy 15”

Know anything about this knife and/or maker?

I can't tell from the pic, but is it possible that it says E. V. Hoy instead of F. W. Hoy? Could be Ed Van Hoy.

I double checked with a loupe....it's F.W. Found someone selling a different knife with the same name stamped on it online except this one had a sheath with the makers name + "Harbor City, CA" on it.
