Need help identifying the year and the run of this limited edition Knight 505?

Need some help ID'ing this "Limited Edition" knife that I found.
I was hoping I could learn more about it (purely for knowledge reasons [non-commercial]).

Looking for points in the right direction on the following criteria:
Year?
Components (what type of wood insert)?
Anything else.

The U stamp is date code for 1998 and the handle material appears to be brown jigged bone.
