so i scored this knife, what i believe to be a skinny ASH1. The blade is 5 milimeters thick. Is it INFI or SR 101?

and if anyone could direct me to a site where the original prices are listed, that would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

That Busse logo indicates that it's INFI. You can't ask about prices given your membership level, but you can look at the Busse Collector website for original info and specs.

Thank you so much for the info zmbhntr! Have a nice day:)

It's the correct thickness of the skinny ASH1s... another indicator unique to the skinny ASH1 is that the blade is slightly convex versus a flat saber or full flat grind.

Congrats on your score... the ASH is an awesome blade!!

Thank you Lil'Foo,really appreciate the help from you guys.

It is a very nice knife indeed, perfect company for my SCABS

So i checked the Busse Collector site, but im either too stupid or i cant see the skinny ash listed on there. I'm somewhat familiar with most of the acronyms but it can be quite confusing sometimes..

Is there another site?! I know im not allowed to ask about prices, just wondering for how much it went BITD.

Yup it's a Skinny ASH1...very nice blade...

I'll suggest doing a search...

Type "Skinny ASH1" into your BladeForums search window in the upper RH corner of this page...

peruse the hits you get...some of the hits will be sellers, others will be general interest, the right side of the screen will tell you which subforum the hit is in...

the sales listings will give you a ballpark, just realize some sellers remove the prices after sale, and just because some leave the prices intact in their listing, well, that's not an ironclad guarantee that that was the actual selling price.

but it's a good place to start and gives you as good as an idea as any as to current mkt. prices..

Also, you can do an "Advanced Search" on the big auction site for "Completed listings" or "Sold listings" listings also...there you have to realize those prices are gonna be at least 10% higher than listings here on BF most likely.

Thank you PetyTwoPointOne, i will try as you suggested:thumbup:

Have a nice day!

This forum is awesome!!!

You're welcome...:)

it is a great place...and the Busse hangout is the BEST of the BEST <although the other subforums are very nice also>

I'd suggest buying a Gold Membership, it's money well spent, allows you more access and liberties, plus allows you to get your feet wet listing blades for sale...

just get started small and slowly and pattern your listing after some of the other successful listings...

most of all have fun, get some knowledge, develop some friendships, and enjoy your time here.

Here are some pics of Jerry's initial release post, Skunker's post, and info from Skunker's Company Store (where they were sold through)...

Skunker's post re thickness of 0.195" is accurate... The 0.200" listed on the Co Store site was generalized / rounded up.

Thats a nice score. I got a user from Timmy that I love and have continued to make it a user. The Skinny ASH is a great all around knife that will fit the bill for most any thing you want to do with it. I reprofiled the edge a bit and turned mine into a skinny ash razor blade. Its like a cross between a chefs knife and a Bushcrafter. It will do both with ease. It'll cut branches and then press garlic with the best of them lol.

Thats a nice score.

I agree with you 100%. I'm not a huge fan of uber-thick knifes, altough they appeal to me aesthetically.i rather have a skinny/anorexic Busse. I've put my SCABS trough a lot of abuse and i held up just fine.I just wish it had a bit thicker handles, since i got size 11 hands.

The Skinny ASH is a really capable tactical chefs knife:cool:

Ohhhhbooooy. The FAT ASH1 is something you've gotta at least hold before you swear offit. Legendary to say the least.
