I bought this knife in a lot with a bunch of others, and paid up a good bit for it.
The sheath is stamped 425, but when I look up pics of a gerber 425 it has a flat pommel, this one is tapered as you can see.
Can anyone tell me the actual model number, and possibly a year of manufacture?
I know the 59 stamp is the Rockwell hardness (looks like someone was testing that by hitting the side of the blade with a hammer too !?!?!? Idiot!)

Presentation hunters ( mod 400 /425 / 450/ 475 /525) were made from 1971 to 1985 where 425/450/475 were discontinued.
The one you own is an early one with pointed end, that shape being soon changed for for the finger grooves and flat end handle.
Mr Phil Rodenberg wrote a book about Gerber blade ("a chronology of Gerber Legendary blades 1939 -1986") mentionning the Presentation hunter series.

The one "425" on the Collini store link shows this change.
