Im thinking this is either some kind of Chinese military knife, or possibily old surplus bayonets they converted into a dive knife or something.
It's obviously chinese and doesn't appear to be your typical mass produced export flea market knife, at least not right off the bat anyways.

It's Chinese alright, not sure if it's authentic military issue as it appears to be. I've those type knives before, where the blade is pushed back into the handle, by the bar on the sheath. It had a very sloppy action to it and I think I ended up selling it at a yard sale.

Google says it's a Chinese Military police force knife from the 1980's.

it has a military grease smell to it but the china stamp on what i think is the sheath and the sticker were throwing me off

It's gotta be Chinese military.
As for the stamp and sticker they could've started to add those when starting to also export them commercially.
