I recently purchased the JK knife pictured below and I'm looking for any information on its model, origin, and history. Is it the JK Anniversary Camp Knife #1? I've found a few threads by C. Bryant, Riverwarrior, and other that don't quite seem to match, but are very close. Any light any of you'all can shed on this knife is greatly appreciated (the seller claimed that it was new and never used, but I have trouble believing that from its appearance and comments I've read here on Bladeforums - still, its a great knife I look forward to restoring [and using] it a bit). Thanks for your comments.

I do sort of remember CBryant ordering his with burl handles. He was the winner of the first anniversary knife contest 8 years ago, and I did stamp a 1 on it (there were 16 made, he had numbers 1 and 16)

John, you would certainly be the one to know, even after making so many fine knives. I did find a post of yours from mid-January 2009 (This Mornings Work) with a photo of a new model in progress (along with some of your regular models of the time) that seems to fit, the shape and length of both the blade and tang (if that's the right word) but especially the placement of the holes for the pins and lanyard. Your thoughts? Anyone else recognize or remember it?

Has that one got a short guard on it! I'm thinking I made the first one in Spring of 2008. If I have time tomorrow I'll do a search for Anniversary Knife Contest, it would be the first one I had.
