That knife was from the Battling Bucks tin done for Wally world. It is a China made knife. Not quite sure of the year, but it I think about 2003. That is not the correct sheath and I'm not sure of the model number as I am away from my "stuff".

2TONYB,
Thanks for the onfo, I was hoping that would be the correct sheath for the knife, I realy liked it. It will get a new point and hopefully put to work this deer season.

It is a 2003 commemerative Buck knife. I am unsure if it has a model number.
Go to ebay and do an advanced search for ended listings. Search for Battling Bucks knife. Theres quite a few on there.

Thanks Postfalls,
It looks like I might have paid a little too much for it in the condition it is in, but at least I will have some fun getting it back into shape and using it. I have always like to tinker with my knives anyway.

I didn't think those battling bucks were China made? I'm glad you guys know as it was in a incorrect sheath and I couldn't tell.DM

I have one of them and the original sheath is nylon. I was told that it was made in Taiwan.

I also have another one called the Whitetail that came in a simulated leather case. I do remember (I'm at work) that one of these two were made in China, the other Taiwan. I'm not sure which is which right now.

if it has a left side laying T (l-) it is over seas for 2005 as they could not use idaho mark

some place it is posted here in the forum what knives are over seas made and
what are usa made..
this was a year ago so i dont know if it has been up dated

The "Battling Bucks" that I have is marked Taiwan on the tang opposite Buck. It came with a padded, black fabric sheath marked Buck.

The "Whitetail Deer Collectable" in the "leather" case is marked China on the tang, no sideways T or any other marking. It comes with a sheath, just like the other one.

Thanks Plumberdv, that helps.

Ya know I'ved looked at those on the bay any number of times-sometimes I think they look great, other times feel the handle looks too much like a steak knife. They normally go for a pretty reasonable price. You guys that have them, do you use them at all and if so how do they feel?

I've never used either one of mine. I bought the one like yours before I knew where it was made. The one in the leather like box, I got cheap and mostly I wanted the box. I think I can make a nice display case for something else out of it.

I do see some 110's listed as Battling Buck models. One for sure is a Yellowhorse edition and the other one appeared to be a custom shop model with a cut out in the blade.

Here's one I just bought.

Yeah, I think the way they display em makes me want it-out of the box I'm not so sure.

You just bought it??? I thought I did. I hope there was two!!! If we are both refering to the same listing, you may notice that the pictures are of two different knives. One pic you can barely see a serialized blade and a different tang stamp. I asked the seller about this. We'll see.

It appears from looking at the sellers history, that he had two of them listed. I received a shipping notice and Delivery Confirmation number from him yesterday.

Here is the one I got. I wanted this one because of the Anvil.
Click the pic.

I got mine yesterday too. It appears to be exactly like yours. I don't see any serial numbers. Where are they on yours?
