Need help identifying

I just bought my first Busse knife today. It looks like a badger attack but it has a satin finish and what looks like a skull crusher on the butt end. There is a serial number of 753 on the blade. I paid 550.00 for it. I cuts great. Is this model a badger attack? Is 550.00 the going rate for this knife. Any additional information would be appreciated.

It sounds like you snagged a BATACLE (BATAC Limited Edition).

Look for BATAC LE on the Exchange forum http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=804 for an idea of the pricing.

I have seen a few in the low to mid $400's as it seems to be a buyers market at the moment. I would expect that to change soon as the current crop of BATAC LE's work their way into the hands of long term owners.

My BATACLE (#39) was the first Busse I got, and while I first pondered getting rid of her to get in something else, I think I've decided to keep her around, not just because of how beautiful of a knife she is, but because she popped my...well, you know.

$550 was great, for the seller. I had two of these that sat for weeks at cost $421 shipped and fully insured. Other than pay a bit much more than you could have you did good. Enjoy it and beat the heck out of it. Don't feel discouraged about the $130 difference, over time it will even out and likely it will be worth what you paid for it even after you beat the snot out of it. That is the beauty of Busse.
