.... it is from the 80's IFRC. I THINK it started Mel Gibson or maybe Bruce Willis. The plot is along the lines of a guy needs to get a substantial amount of cash back from an organized crime group. His ends up partnering with an old girlfriend who is a hooker by trade. One by one he takes down the mob, gets his money and he and the girl drive off to Canada and live happily ever after.

Early on in the movie he steals a guy's wallet, buys some watches with a credit card, pawns the watched for a .357 mag and some cash. Its been so long that I can not remember the name of the movie and neither can the fellows I work with. Any help is greatlt appreciated!!

Yep, sounds like Payback.
Welcome to Blade Forums, johnnyzero !

Doug :)

Payback and it was actually released in 1998, IIRC.

That long ago? I must be getting old, to have had 12 years slip away like that...

I liked that movie my favorite part is when he hided under the car and shoots thought it.

Love that movie.

Sylvester Stalone had a similar movie, Get Carter.
You may have thought of Bruce Willis on account of Last Man Standing.

The Get Carter movie with Sylvester Stalone is horrible. Check out the original Get Carter with Michael Caine as the main character.

Last Man Standing is based on A Fistful of Dollars wich is based on Yojimbo bij Akira Kurasawa.

Hey guys, since you solved Steve's problem, help me with mine!!! :D

The movie I'm trying to remember the name to was a WWII flick and this crew flying a B17. During the mission, the plane got shot up real bad and the belly turret got jammed up so the gunner couldn't get out. One of the landing gear also got messed up and wouldn't come down so they would have to belly land and you know what would happen to the belly gunner if they did that! It just so happened that one of the crew was a cartoonist, might even have been the belly gunner, and he drew a cartoon of the B17 with a great big ballooned out tire where the busted landing gear was. Well wouldn't ya know it, the crew willed that great big ballooned out tire into reality and they landed the B17 safely!
I watched Memphis Belle yesterday and that made me think of this movie. I just can't remember what it's called!

I think that was from the Amazing Stories. The TV episode was called "The Mission". It may have been part of an Amazing Stories movie too, or maybe the pilot? I remember Kevin Costner in it and Spielberg actually directed that one.
