I'm getting in the mail this week a small Classic with the markings "MM". (no box or papers)

I tried doing a search here and couldn't come up with anything.

Can some one please help me id the year and blade steel?

thanks!

All Classics used to come with an "MM" to identify them as "Year 2000 Classic Sebenzas" or "Classic 2000", the official name of the knife. Not sure if they still mark them that way.

Thanks James,
I tried looking over at the Reeves web page, but didn't see any small Classics. Is there any other identifying marks in the inside of the handle or on the blade which might indicate blade steel?

Barry, if the blade has a small "s" near the pivot (you'll have to take that baby apart to see it) then it is S30V, if not it will be BG-42. Enjoy the knife, the small classics are sweet.

The classics are still marked with 'MM'. I carry a small one that is recent production and still marked that way.
