Hey guys,
I am looking at user grade customs. I use my knives, and also kind of hard on them. I have been researching Ed Caffreys EBK (I am on his list)
Burt Fosters Blue collar hunter ( I am on his list)
S A R EDB XL ( I have contacted him)
Dozier K-2, or K-4
anything by Shakie.

Any suggestions you could provide would be helpful!!!

Pardon me, but what part of "NO KNIFE DISCUSSION IN THE COMMUNITY FORUM" do not understand?

Customs meant to be used? Check out Scott Gossmans knives.

Tom Krein - best of user-grade customs. Perfect grinds, fit/finish, quality steel, tough handles, utility-based designs.

Two more for your list: Gene Ingram and Charles May. I've only had experience with Gene's knives (SUPERB by the by) but Charles makes good stuff as well by all accounts!

I can't agree more about Tom Kreins' knives!! I LOVE his work. I do own a Tom Krein knife. He is also a great guy to deal with.I have a knife on order with both Charles May & Gene Ingram. I had the pleasure of talking to Mr. May on the phone, he is great to talk to. I have only communicated with Mr. Ingram via E-mail.

Contact Charles May you can find his address & number through Blademakers.com. He makes a very useable well made knife.

Can't go wrong with an EBK from Ed Caffrey. My brother is a hunting & fishing guide in South Texas and he's abused the heck out of his EBK the last couple of years and it has held up superbly.

Nice to see some makers here touting their competition, shows respect within the community, and earns my respect whole-heartedly:thumbup:
