Hello,

My friend(he do not understand English) is willing to buy a very big knife(folder!):KEL-TEC model KFK(D2 blade,4.9" long). That model is a rare one. In the KELTEC online store the price is 110USD. Is there any other online store in which I it would be possible to buy that model and which you would recommend? I am looking for better prices.

Best regards,

Arnis

I had no idea Kel-Tec was making knives- never heard of them before. I'm having a hard time finding much out about them, and it looks like they are only available through Kel-Tec, at their online store. $110 sounds reasonable for a D2 bladed, FRN knife. It is probably American made. The locking mechanism is unclear- but it looks like a liner-lock, and not a very heavy duty one at that.

I would go with the regular, non-bayonet model. Interesting.

It looks like a flimsy liner lock (not implying all liner locks are shite just this one). It's too thin for such a large knife. As a stabbing knife (since it's a bayonet) it is more likely to experience closing force (force that defeats locks) and I personally feel a stronger lock is required.

If you are choosing the keltec based on the steel (D2) then the Benchmade 710d2 is good with an almost 4inch blade (same price). The Axis lock in the 710d2 is infinitely better than keltec's liner lock.

If based on wanting to stab (like bayonet) and want a large knife then the SOG Pentagon Elite II is good at 5inch long VG10 (also good steel) blade with Arc-Lock (much stronger than keltec's liner lock). Price is 25% less (approx) than keltec.

Good luck.
