Need Help Naming A Movie Again :)

Alright guys, I need your help again. There is a movie I watched a while ago where there was a scene where this kid was playing with fireworks with a hammer. He was smacking them and having them go off. And I think there was a scene where he smoked too. Then later in the movie that kid became a firefighter. I think the actor might have been Dennis Leary but i cant say for sure. Can anyone help me? Please!!!

Rescue Me is the name of a T.V. show with Dennis Leary as a fire-fighter. Not sure if there's a movie with him in it, though.

Nah its not the show Rescue Me. I am not sure about if its Dennis Leary though. He was just the first name I could think of..
