ive been reading the forums for quite awhile now and been using the search for the most part.

i have been wanting to buy a fixed blade ~6" for camping purposes, i already have a 4" custom knife, but i just want something bigger "just to have" i have narrowed it down to a couple knives

Fallkniven A1- dont really like the sheath a bit pricey
esee 6 - cutting edge may be short with the choil there, really like the micarta handle to but dont know about belt carry?
cold steel leatherneck? like sheath looks nice
cold steel recon scout looks nice thick blade

thought about the becker bk7 but i dont like the handle and sheath at all

any other recommendations?

thanks for the info

You can always get the BK7 with micarta handles. Ontario has a nummber of knives that would work quite well, but you might have a problem with the sheaths.

The CS recon scout does have a thick blade, but IMO the blade steel is sub 1095cv. Not by much, but still.

I've been eyeing the Boker Rold Camp knife. D2, kydex sheath, g10 handles, 6 1/8" blade. It might be a bit smaller than what you are looking for though.

The rold was going to be my suggestion too!

That being said I would advise going to a knifestore and getting the knife that handles best for you- handle styles and fit are subjective. :)

ive been to plaza cutlery a few times didnt really see anything i really liked checking out the Boker Rold Camp knife looks interesting
