Yes its a "HELP ME I DK WHAT TO GET THREAD" , but I legit need help..

I've been out of the "knife world" for a year an a half now.. Once I found my favorite knife, BM 707 BK Sequel, I knew I needed nothign more (Except a small sebenza, which I will purchase in the near future.. No rush.) But I ran into a minor flaw..

I carry this knife almost anywhere, and work is no exception.. I work at a book store, which may or maynot permit knifes but I don't care, and the weight of the knife has come into play.. Anywhere from it banging around on a desk (its in a cargo pocket or clipped to my wallet) to just being noticable..

I'm looking for the perfect light weight knife..

It needs to be Sub $150, under 3.2 inches in length, thin, and light.. (also made out of quality materials)..

I've been checking out spydercos, but I'm not sure if they are the right choice..

If you can, please give me some suggestions..

Also, if you spyder junkies could give me some sypderAdvice on which model maybe right..

I know its a lot, but thanks!

Look at the Spyderco Leafstorm:

CPM-S30V steel
G10 & Ti Framelock
Light weight and very people friendly.
Other suggestions:
Sage 1 or 2 (Carbon Fiber or Ti)
G10 Delica (They are available, just have to look around online ;) )

Hmm I like it, it just may be a little small..

I work in a rough neighborhood and I constantly have trash talking hoods staring at me..

I appriciate the suggestion :D

You can't go wrong with the delica. It is a solid edc work horse. If you want a faster deploying model, it comes in a waved version.

mini-grip is pretty much the same knife as the sequel, same dimensions, same steel. different handle material and lighter weight.

if you're not averse to the shape the benchmade pardue 530 is feather-light.

Have you considered the CRKT M-16? 2.3 ounces, 3-inch blade and it's damn inexpensive? Sub $25! But don't let that fool you. One tough folder. That way no worries about losing it and you can put back for the Seb!

Whether you decide on another knife for your needs or just end up with several EDC knives like most of us...

...you gotta get a Delica if you dont have one.

They work their way into the rotation not caring they are a fraction of the price of the Sebenzas and Striders and are just great knives.

The weight, ergos, blade shape and build quality make my Delicas regular pocket occupants. Lately the full-serrated one has been getting used alot.

Exactly.

Everyone needs to try a delica, if you have one it will eventually worm its way into your edc rotation, they're just so flippen useful.

Plus 1. The Delica is a superb EDC knife. Good steel, flat profile, easy to deploy and a very practical blade shape and handle. Regardless of price, I would always recommend one.

hey revdevil,
whats the name of that g10 handle(color).
on the spyderco leafstorm you posted?
thanks for your time!

A Buck 172 Mayo TNT, Ti framelock with S30V blade, would be ideal - but the few out there are ~$200 now (It was discontinued - MSRP > $300.). The same basic S30V blade exists in the flipper-deployed liner-lock #347 Vantage Pro - MSRP $95 - a deal!

Both are nicely made - the TNT much more so, as you'd expect.
