Please pardon if this is posted to wrong area, but I didn't see a specific forum, so move if needed, Thanks
I was in a pawn shop and spotted a survival knife in a hard plastic sheath, hinged to cut wire. It has an exposed shapening stone, a compartment for fish hooks, whatever. Had two additional blades, spear point and saw that stored in the sheath. The knife has been used, and I saw no marking other than a 5 or 6 digit # (serial?). Had a hollow handle for storage. The sheath had a slanted block letter marking that I believe says MAW, and then NA. I saw no country of origin.
It actually seemed like a pretty quality knife to have in the bug out bag, and I'd like to buy one, if it is. Does anyone recognize this description? Any recommendations as to where one could be found new? Thanks much for any help, and also thanks for not dogging me if this is some doller store POS!

Welcome to Bladeforums. Hard to ID a knife without a picture, unless someone happens to have one themselves.

What is the blade length and shape? Any serrations? Is it coated or plain? What's the color of the sheath? Is it all plastic or is there webbing attached?

Yeah, I know, and I'm sorry. I guess I thought someone would recognize the logo, and say, "yeah, thats a ______________, and you can get one here." What little I did learn trying to find info on this was MAW was a division of some USAF fighting wing squadron, but I doubt they'd have their own survival knife. Thanks anyway.

I'm the same guy with the Cold Steel Imperial Tai Pan in Damascus, and I am still trying to find a value for that too if anyone can help.

Your best bet for production knife values is to keep on eye on what anything like it goes for on ebay. That might work for the survival knife, too -- find one as like it as possible for a comparison price.

If you get a pic posted, (I have to as well for one Knife I have to identify), you may want to check out Mark Levine, who does this sort of thing.
