I'm ordering my firsts Busse and have decided on the TGLB..
It's going to be Tanker Grey blade, but I'm struggling to decide on the handle color.
This knife is going to.be used when in uniform (army) and for my go to campknife too..
I'm decided on a black handle, but should I go for black paper micarta or the black canvas micarta?
What do you guys think?
How is the feel of the two, and what looks the best.with Tanker Grey?
If you have any.pics that would help too....

I'd take canvas over paper any day. More grip, both dry and wet, and looks better on a user. Paper micarta starts looking warn after some use and several times washed.
Plus, black canvas micarta has a grayish (sometimes even greenish) color so it will look better with the uniform

Thanks guys, keep it comming, and if you have more pics I'd love.to see...

Black canvas and tanker is one of my favorite combos on a user!!

Not a TGLB. I know, sorry

Well, if you're after the pics of the color combo than I'll throw in this, not a TGLB but a cousin

Well looks like Lexi will get a call after the gang gets back from Knob-Creek,
Think it might be easier talking to her after she has landed, lol....
Tanker Grey, black canvas micarta it is...
Now the waiting starts.... First for them to get back, then got the order to go through and shipping to reach Norway...

Jerry wouldn't offer paper micarta if it wasn't tough enough! I think it's personal preference, sure canvas is grippier, but paper is smooooooth..........
and looks great. If it does start to look worn, all you need is some very fine sandpaper (1000 grit, maybe) to give it that shine again. Or, buff it with higher grit sandpaper (around 600) and you can give it a nice bead-blasted look. (not 100% sure about the grits, though)

Black paper is like nails on a chalkboard to me. The only thing I've tolerated it on was my CABS because that was the only option and I just haven't replaced them yet.

There are a lot of great suggestions on here, good luck in your decisions.

I'm going for the black canvas on tanker grey, that last post with pics had me sold...
Army worthy looking combo for sure...

The OP stated he would use the knife in uniform as well. Black paper is not as resilient to impact as black canvas. I would go canvas for that reason.

Think the.black paper is a little to "shiny" for uniform too,.so canvas it is...
But pics are welcome for sure, just can't get enough pics of Busses, lol...
