Hello All,
I would like some recommendations on what kind of a digital camera to buy to take good to excellent (but not necessarily professional) pictures of my knife collection. I occasionally sell a few knives from my collection and having clear pictures is crucial. I have made due over the years with my various point and shoot cameras. I have next to no experience with real photography. I am looking at spending between $200 - $300. Will this much get me a decent camera that can take crisp close-ups. I will need to take pictures of full length swords from time to time. I have light box that works for pocket knives and smaller fixed blades. For larger knives and swords I usually have to wait for a cloudy day to take pictures of those. I find I have most of my trouble going from 3" pocket knives to 45" sabers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
