Looking for a knife for my son-in-law. For Christmas, he would like a folding knife with a cleaver blade and pocket clip for edc. Looking to spend around $150. Suggestions please. Thank you

You can look at knifecenter.com they have one that I really like but it's 200 and something dollars. It's called a Spyderco r o c . But take a peek they have plenty to offer

The Kunwu Knives Mini Tao sells on their website for just under $150 and is a great EDC option. Super high quality, premium materials, and a great profile.

Lionsteel has some stellar knives in that price range as well

CRKT clever girl.

I'm liking the launch also. I don't know how he would feel about an auto, living in Massachusetts.

Gerber makes the Fastball in a cleaver, one of their few USA made models. Looks to be about $175 though, might be able to find it cheaper somewhere if you shop around.

I got my son and myself a ZT Sinkevich 0450CF. It's a beautiful little buttery smooth carbon fiber flipper with all the bells and whistles that will set you back about 200 bucks but its well worth another 50 clams when you see the look on his face. I use mine as my going out to dinner knife but my son uses his for everything and I have to say it holds a nice edge for a very long time. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Zero-Tolerance-0450CF-Flipper-Knife--34411

$171.99 at KC, and that should be free shipping. The regular bladed Fastball is a really nice knife - if the cleaver version is as good, I think it’d be worth the extra $20.

The fastball looks interesting. But what about quality?
Gerber also does the flatiron which is dirt cheap.

Gerber tends to be hit and miss, their USA made stuff is pretty good quality but I'd probably pull the trigger elsewhere.

I know Gerber’s QC has been questionable in recent years, but I just got a Fastball last week, and I’m pretty impressed. All the reviews I read say the same thing - they’ve taken a big step in the right direction with this knife. It’s nice and tightly put together, and the action is as good as any other flipper I own, including some that are much more expensive. I have no qualms recommending it.
