I've read all 90 pages of the reviews&test forum and still can't decide... Gerber Air Ranger II, CRKT KFF Pro (large), CS Recon Tanto folder, and Camillus CUDA EDC... i'm ok with all of them except the EDC cuz the blade is kinda small for my likings but from what i've read...the materials used in this knife is superb compared with the others... i'm looking for a knife with a blade between 3.25"-4" for every day carry and denfensive purposes.. preferably black teflon coat plain edge blade choice...but non black coat blade is fine by me.. if there are any other knives that i've overlooked please do tell... i'm open to all suggestions... thanks so much... cheers!

p.s. spyderco endura is ok concerning size, style, material and all... but i don't like the mirror-like finish to the blade blade..satin finish or bead-blast would've been nice..kinda picky huh? :D

Hey, it's OK to be kinda picky, it's your money.

The EDC is a different class of knife than the Air Ranger II, CS Recon Tanto, and KFF Pro Large so I would drop that out assuming you want a full size knife for medium to heavy cutting chores.

All three of the larger knives have considerably different feel in the hand so if you can try them out in person to find which one fits you the best.

If you can't try them out then go for the one that you like best in terms of looks. None are easy resales at anywhere near what you'll pay but all are good trading knives if you find you don't like what you buy.

Good luck.

I have the air ranger II & the kasper, both large & small, they are all great knives. the kasper pro is very well made, but big. its a great defensive knife. the air ranger is neat, too, nice checkered aluminum handle,& nice blade shape. the air ranger would be much less bulky in the pocket. theres a big size difference in the two. both are great for the money.camillus edc is a bit small for my liking, especialy for defense.the crkt m16's are great, & have the flipper that make them fly open quick. check them out, too. goog luck .........

Thanks guys... well.. it turns out i didn't get any of those knives that i listed above at all...after checking some knives out at a store i decided on the Benchmade 551S Griptilian Drop Point.. feels good in the hand...nice blade just the right size i wanted..came super sharp out of the box ..and the AXIS lock is really nice to work with...:D thanks again
