I paid for the knifemakers membership several days ago. I do not see where or how i post a knife for sale in the exchange forum. Thanks for any help.

You may just need to change your usergroup. If the knifemakers group can't be selected it could be because Spark does the upgrades manually so it may take a few days.

I changed my group to gold member. I think that's what i needed to do?????????? ok I will hold tight and wait for Spark. Whem I'm approved will the "Post Thread" box appear in the exchange for me?

Your profile tells me you are a Gold member, not a Knifemaker. When you paid a few days ago, how did you pay, and how much?

What knife are you trying to sell, one you made or one you bought? Which forum are you trying to sell in?

I paid $25 via Paypal. I am trying to sell one i made. I thought I could post it in the fixed blade exchange forum but i see no way to post there

You must have a knifemaker subscription to post knives you have made for sale. Gold memberships are appropriate only for knives you own in your collection.

If you upgrade to the proper membership, you may post here and request that Spark prorate your membership.

No...that money will be credited back toward your "knifemaker" membership via Spark prorating it. (In other words, extending the time so that you get all of your money's worth.)

Just post a new thread here in this forum requesting that Spark do so. You'll be taken care of.

Now that sounds much better :) Sorry for all the questions, but you're saying start a new thread that sates "Spark, i would like to be upgraded from Gold member to Knifemarker." instead of going and purchasing the upgrade now?

No...you have to go ahead and purchase the knifemaker membership. Once you have done so you can post a new thread here requesting that Spark prorate the cost of your gold membership toward your knifemaker membership. It will ensure that the money paid for the gold membership extends the knifemaker membership commensurately.

You're welcome. If you have any additional questions, post here and we'll try to get you sorted out.

(But post a new thread requesting Spark's help with prorating your membership...that will ensure he sees it. He's a busy fella.)

Meh, 'twas nothing.

Well done.
