Hope your Well,
Looking for a heavy duty clip carry folder with Non Stainless Carbon Steel. - Preferrably a Titanium framelock w/ hollow ground blade/Tip up carry
, but any suggestions are appreciated.
Is there one that is the same quality of a Seb or Strider?
I'm just getting a little annoyed by Stainless. I can get a hair popping edge on S30V/ATS34, etc- but as we know that takes a little time. I was sharpening an old wood handled Carbon Machete for my Uncle today, and it was in pretty bad shape from the farm use of cutting down brush etc.
But... just a few (and I mean a few) minutes after it hit the stone it was scary sharp, and it never even hit a super fine stone/glass/ceramic/ or leather to finish the edge. (he wanted Utility for obvious reasons) - and the Patina that it has devloped over the years is nice.
If I had a stainless in that bad of shape, I would still be working on it.
I forgot how much I liked the little German Eye Brand & Boker's that I could get good and dull and a minute or 2 after they hit the stone, they were shaving my arm, and would hold the edge for a good while.
There's got to be a Tough Non Stainless Tactical Folder out there with high Quality Carbon Steel - I'm just not sure where.
Thanks as always for the help, Man I love this Forum!
