Please help. This may be a great deal that ends today.
1) Is that a good price, I assume so since their daily deals are usually awesome.
2) REALLY IMPORTANT!!! Is it worth it to get an FCC liscense? What do I have to do to get one and what are the costs involved?

thanks!!!!

Yeah, I've been wanting one for a while.
BUT PLEASE!!! What's the deal with the FCC liscence.

Buy them, try them and then sell them off on ebay if you don;t want it. If you want to get a license (assuming you keep them) -- not tough.

But I am loathe to buy from cove cutlery simply because their website constantly tries to install a java .cab file from Allistaire -- unnecessary and intrusive

Good Evening All-

Do a BladeForum search using the terms "GMRS" and "FRS" and you'll get a ton of responses. I've been in the market for several months and the most reputable, detailed dealer I've encountered on the Internet seems to be Bill's 2 Way in Morgan Hill, California.

Enjoy,

I wish that someone had flagged me sooner about this 'java.cab' problem. Apparantly, Windows XP stopped supporting this java.cab and my web software was sending some folks an annoying request everytime they logged onto my website.

The problem has been fixed. No more annoying java.cab requests.

I want to make your experience on Cove Cutlery a pleasant one. Please let me know if there is ever a problem again.

Also, be sure to check out our 'DEAL Of The DAY' everyday on our home page. The item is usually at cost.

I bought the subject radios and they work fine -- not 5 miles though-- worthwhile and the java.cab is gone making the site a better place to buy. I do like their web cam as well....

I don't see a price on it so it's hard to tell what the deal is. GMRs license is just paperwork no biggie, pluss you might have a local repeater group you can hook up with. If so your effective range becomes 10s of miles.
