I lost my kershaw rake today, im looking for something to replace its place as my edc work knife.

Requirements.
1. Must be extremely secure, im not losing anther.
2. UHH must be durable and take hard use, ergonomic, comfort is key.

The rake wasnt really what i wanted but i kept it just because it was still a nice blade.

I wanna keep it at that 70$ price point, idc if its fixed folding or anything in between as long as it is secure ergonomic and easily accessible.

Dude! Another medium-cost EDC folder thread?!? How many threads is that?!? :)

How 'bout another Kershaw Rake? Or a Spyderco Tenacious? Those are both very nice.

People want to start their own thread instead of just reading someone else's. This forum wouldn't be a forum if people just came here to read answers to questions that had already been asked; it would be a FAQ run by 9 guys who only bothered to answer a question once.

Have you considered a fixed blade?

ESEE Izula is stronger than any folder. If you pay the extra 20 bucks or so for the kit, it'll come with an awesome pocket clip addition and still be under $70.

If you want a folder for that price, I'd probably go with the Tenacious or Endura/Delica from Spyderco.

i have been considering a fixed blade, not an izula fan though, handled it and it just didn't seem to feel that great in my hand, for the amount i use it that's important, im leaning away from folders because i am screwing up and breaking bending and everything else that you can do to the clips, they get snagged on cords wires and on occasion shrink wrap and get ripped right out my pocket.

You described my Spyderco Manix2.

Sorry about the loss. Hopefully the next one will be what you want, and stick with you.

i actually got a manix 2 in the translucent handles, don't ever carry it, i bent the clip off and had to get a replacement twice too, i don't like the lock.

Perhaps a Kershaw Skyline BFC Forum knife? Good steel, colorful handles, very popular, and support a great forum. The only issue may perhaps be the wait. Other than that its good! Oh and if it sells out, you would get membership!
