Need help Selecting knifes

Hi.
I recommend a Spyderco Salt series knife with H1 steel for fishing. It is great steel for use around water and it will not rust. For camping it would be hard to find a better value than ESEE, they really are excellent knives.

For fishing and food prep I definitely go with stainless. Among the three Fallkniven is my choice. It will survive some batoning too.

Edit: Fallkniven is a brand from Sweden, so you can probably find it easier and cheaper in Norway.

Not cheaper in Norway, everything is expensive her so i order it from the US.

That's too bad, considering Sweden is literally your neighbor. If you buy from US, do Norway Customs make you pay tax on it?

Need to pay 25% of the order, but still cheaper then Norway.

Id definitely go with the F1. The thermorun handle was designed for cold enviroments and is comfortable even if you have got bigger hands. I found the F1 much more ergonimic than the RC-4.

The stainless VG-10 steel takes a real nice edge and the knife is very strongly built. Ive never heard of a Fallkniven breaking.

Dont have any experience with the Cold Steel, but it looks the part. If i remember correctly the F1 was based on the Master Hunter.

Or are ther any other knives that have same quality as the F1 at same price.

Are knifeworks the cheapest place?

And can some one help me calculate the shipping to Norway?

Knifeworks is a good dealer with tons of satisfied customers. I love the Spyderco Salt series knives for all tasks near water. Since you're looking for something you can baton and for hard are you interested only on fixed blades?

I think Knifeworks has the lowest price on Fallkniven among all reputable US dealers. Other less known shops might sell it for slightly cheaper, but since you're ordering from overseas I strongly suggest you stick with Knifeworks. I've dealt with Knifeworks and I can only say positive things about them.

Here's their shipping info:

It's $35.95 for the first 2 pounds and $4.50 per additional pound. The F1 itself weighs 6oz, so you'll likely to pay just $35.95

It's just personal preference, but I would pick the zytel sheath over leather. When you're cutting fish and get all that smelly gunk, you can sheath your knife without cleaning it first. Later you can dip and wash the entire thing with water and no smell would remain. Leather sheath tends to absorb moisture, so it's not prudent to sheath a dirty knife. Once leather absorbs nasty stuff, it's harder to get out too.

Have looked at this Spyderco Pacific Salt folder near watet.

And a fixed blade fore food prep and some batoning and carving, any other suggestion besides the F1?
