Need help...sword to defeat evil spirits?

I need some help, the small sword that is wavy, little short, with the serpent engraved at the end of the pointy sword? Aunty had a little story about it, that it was believed to shoot out mystical energy to subdue evil spirits. I'm trying to pull up the thread, I just cannot find it. Does anyone remember what that sword is called?
