Hello everyone , I just bought a set of 6 steak knives " buck royalty line of custom cutlery" in an hinged wood box , there is 6 knives wish has the same shape as a 107 scout buck with micarta handle and serated front half of the blade , there are script stamp as the first 500 series knives . I think the set is the model 206 , I don't got the COA ,it's a really beautiful set !
Could someone tell me any information about these knives and can help me to date them . Thanks

I don't know what Buck offers in Europe which is often different than those offered in the States. So,--- here they are the model 206 the Windsor set. The box those came in here did not have a hinged lid. Script stamped Buck USA. I've not heard of the "Buck Royalty Line of custom cutlery". I've not heard of a COA that came with those sets.
That set here was introduced in the mid 70's with that stamp, micarta handles and front portion of blades serrated. Along about 1982 the old English script stamp was dropped, as well as the display box and the micarta handles. The set afterward carried a block style letter stamp and was gone by 1987. With the blade pointed away from you and cutting edge down, which side carries the stamp? DM

Those have maroon micarta handles which would make them from 1973. The more common handle material. Unless Buck did something different for the European market. How did you obtain them? Thanks for the picture. Your welcome, DM

I bought them on leboncoin a french used stuff selling website , it's came from Corsica isle the seller said it was a present someone gave him many years ago . I bought them a very little price compare to the other I've seen for sale on the famous auctions website . Thanks for your answer David .

As I know there were no specials for the Eurpeans in this context, David.

Haebbie, Thank you. Still, I've not see the model 206 offer here from the 'Buck Royalty Line'. DM

David, I read anything about it a loooong time ago and I have no idea where it was. Comes time comes remembrance - may be.

That is the second set of steak knives that I have seen like that from Buck. The first set is the set that I purchased while at the Pasadena knife show while I was there. Showed it to Leroy right after buying them, and they look like they have never been used. Great find and enjoy them. I know mine will be safe Queens for now. And yes I have that same style of box.
