On the handle it says delica clipit. On the blade it says seki city japan on one side and spyderco g-2 stainless on the other side.

This has no liners and a built in plastic clip. The clip is part of the handle. This is the lightest ,thinest spyderco i have seen and i love the plastic clip because i wont scratch cars or other stuff when brushing up against it. Any idea wher ei could get one preferably in plain edge?

It is a 1st or 2nd Gen Delica, they are quite hard to come by, but if you keep an eye out in the exchange you might find one, or you could go with the new delica4. It has better steel and pretty much improved everything.

Yeah you are probably correct about improved everything. I just love how light this thing is and anyone who carries a knife has also most likely scratched thier car at some point so you can see why i like the plastic clip .

Thanks for the info.

I think it would be considered a Generation 1, later versions of Gen 1 had the wider molded clip.

First generation Delica. The handle mold was changed several times before they gave up on the integral clip and went to the barrel bolt steel clip. That looks like a fairly early iteration. G-2 steel mark was only used for a couple of years, 1992 to 1994 give or take a few months.

About your only hope for finding one that old is eBay or the exchange here. My first Spyderco was an old Delica with the wider molded clip and AUS-8 in PE. It's still quite a workhorse.

Thanks again all. I will probably end up just going with a new tech spyderco. This one doesent seem to be the smoothest but it shure is light . I checked it on my scale and its just under or about at 2oz. Now if i could just pick a new one.....

A Salt 1 would be a close approximation on size and weight to that Delica 1. It'll have a titanium clip and rustproof steel...which is a bit of an upgrade in my book.
